Drier than a desert

I have been wading through the assignments that are due on the first or second days of class. I wish the Orientation had included the overall goals of each course and descriptions about how they fit together. I think that would make it easier for me to put the pieces together. Of course, some things are obvious such as the need to be aware of Universal Precautions, but why I am learning about them in one course as opposed to another is not yet clear to me.
I have to admit that I am putting off starting my Pharmacology readings. I completed a pharmacology class through Straighter Line and it was very difficult. I love the math, but the readings were drier than a desert.
